Momentum is a private, internal application operated by Momentum Companies ("we", "us") for our own business and household record-keeping. It is not offered to the public and has no external users or customers.
Momentum connects to our own QuickBooks Online company file to read account balances and open bills, and lets our two authorized users record targets, monthly check-ins and supporting documents.
With the Accounting scope, the app reads: chart-of-accounts names and current balances, open bills (vendor, dates, amounts) and company name. It does not write to QuickBooks and does not access payroll, customer or employee personal information.
Data is stored on a server we control. The server is reachable only over a private network limited to our own devices; it is not exposed to the public internet. Uploaded documents and QuickBooks access tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). All connections use HTTPS. QuickBooks credentials are never stored; access is via Intuit's OAuth 2.0 tokens, which can be revoked at any time from the QuickBooks "Apps" page.
We do not sell, rent or share data with any third party. The only outside services involved are Intuit (the data source) and, optionally, an AI document-reading service used to read balances off statement images we upload ourselves; images sent for that purpose are not retained by that service.
Data is kept for as long as we use the app for our own records. Disconnecting the app from QuickBooks deletes the stored tokens immediately. We can delete all stored data at any time.
